This virtual H-92 SAR edition is a reproduction of the Sikorsky H-92 "Superhawk". The H-92 is medium-lift helicopter with a max gross weight of 26,500 pounds powered by twin turbine engines. The H-92 is the military/search and rescue version of the Sikorsky S-92. The S-92 made its maiden flight in 1998, received its FAA type certificate in December 2002 and was delivered to its first customer in 2004. This virtual H-92 has 12 seating positions. The pilot and copilot; crew positions for observer, winch operator station (standing), winch operator seat; five additional crew member or passenger seats; and two litters for patients or rescue victims.

The SAFE (Shergood Aviation Flight Engine) engine driving this virtual reproduction is the most advanced and realistic in SL., developed by an RL helicopter pilot The engine is purely physics based and features independent control of cyclic, collective and anti-torque pedals. Many real-world helicopter effects are also modeled as part of the engine including translational lift, translating tendency, ground effect, main rotor torque and vortex ring state.

This virtual S-92 executive/VIP edition is a reproduction of the Sikorsky S-92. The S-92 is medium-lift helicopter with a max gross weight of 26,500 pounds powered by twin turbine engines. In the VIP configuration here it will carry three crew (pilot, copilot and flight attendant) and ten passengers. The S-92 has currently been selected to be the next Marine One helicopter for transport of the U.S. President.

The SA-FE (Shergood Aviation Flight Engine) engine driving this virtual reproduction was created by an RL helicopter pilot and designed to fly like an RL helicopter. The engine is purely physics based and features independent control of cyclic, collective, throttle and anti-torque pedals enabling true power-off autorotations.
