1 APPENDIX A - CHAT COMMAND SUMMARY

1.1 Main Command Summary

cv Toggle camera view

fc Toggle fine control between normal and most recently used of fc1 and fc2
dc Close all doors
mlt Toggle "mouse look touch"
qstart Do a quick start (skip full start procedure)
qstop or stop Do a quick shutdown (skip full shutdown procedure)
hud Get copy of hud
minihud Get copy of minihud
winchhud/hoisthud Get copy of hoist hud (if equipped)
checklist Bring out or stow the checklist
ec1+ Advance engine control #1 forward
ec1- Pull engine control #1 back
ec2+ Advance engine control #2 forward
ec2- Pull engine control #2 back
ec1/p Move engine conrol #1 to position p where p is s for SHUT OFF, i for GROUND IDLE, or f for FULL OPEN

1.2 Switch Names

(used with s, s1 and s0 commands for normal switches s0, s1, s2, etc. for rotary switches) This section describes the various switches in the CH-47 and their functions. Push buttons (marked with [b]), and rotary knobs (marked with [r]) are also shown here. Switches that are for RP purposes only and do not have an effect on the helicopter are marked [RP] in the description. For switches that have guards, the guard is addressed by appending a "-g" to the switch name (marked with [-g] after the name in the table below).

1.3 Autopilot Command Summary

The following chat commands can be used with the AFCS:

ap IAS Toggle airspeed hold
ap ALT Toggle altitude hold
ap RALT Toggle radar altitude hold
ap VS Toggle vertical speed hold
ap HDG Toggle heading hold
ap DIS Disconnect autopilot
ap IAS n Set the target airspeed to n
ap HDG n Set the target heading to n
ap L n Set the target heading left by n degrees
ap R n Set the target heading right by n degrees
ap ALT n Set the target altitude to n feet
ap RALT n Set the target altitude to n feet above ground
ap VS n Set the target vertical speed n feet per second
ap D n Set target altitude up n feet
ap U n Set target altitude down n feet
ap HVR Enter autohover mode
ap TO Takeoff and enter hover
ap LAND Land at current location

1.4 GPS Command Summary

The chat commands available for the FMS/GPS are:

gps new Delete all waypoints
gps direct Go direct to next waypoint
gps hold Toggle hold at next waypoint
gps hsi Toggle HSI mode between DTK and NAV
gps save [label] Save the current route to server
gps load spec Load a route from server

1.5 Transponder Command Summary

The available transponder chat commands are:

x nnnn Enter four-digit transponder code.
x stby/on/alt Set the transponder mode.
