SECTION 14. PAINTING RESOURCES

1 Files

Paint templates are available at:

2 Base Paint Textures

The S-58 uses four main textures: s58-main, s58-nose, s58-tail and s58-winch. The gimp file is organized into groups for each of the four paints included with the helicopter, a group for the AO and a group for the UV maps. Within each group are layers for the main, nose and tail textures. Simply select which layers to use when outputting a texture for upload.

3 Text Overlay Texture

An additional text overlay texture named s58-text that includes the small text around access panels and such is also included. You may use this texture as-is in your paints, or you can use the transparent texture if you do not wish to include the text.
