1 Introduction
The KellyFuel pump is intended as a universal fueling system to enable fueling for both SA and non-SA aircraft. The pumps will attempt to identify the aircraft type and identify the fueling system used by that aircraft. The supported fueling systems are:
- KellyFuel - Used by SA and aircraft by participating creators.
- Basic - Aircraft that use the "refuel" command in local chat.
The procedure for fueling are nearly the same for both types except that basic fuel system aircraft usually only support a single tank per aircraft. To use the the pump, you must first "connect" the aircraft with the pump, then following the fueling procedure as described in the following sections.
2 Connecting Aircraft
To use the KellyFuel 3.0 pump to service your aircraft, use the following procedure to prepare aircraft for fueling:
- Park aircraft within 20m of pump.
- Click pump. Select aircraft by tail number, or aircraft type.
- If the aircraft has multiple tanks, select tank to be filled. If the aircraft has only one tank, it will be automatically selected.
- If the aircraft requires it, open any access doors and caps for that tank.
3 Grounding Your Aircraft
Before fueling, you should ground your aircraft to prevent fires from static discharges. You may use the ground wire spool on either side of the pump (Jet-A or 100LL side). Failure to ground your aircraft can result in a fuel fire (with HD fire).
4 Fueling Aircraft
Once aircraft has been selected, to Fuel Aircraft:
- Click on the fuel hose for the correct type of fuel for your aircraft (Jet-A or 100LL). This will cause the hose to be routed to your aircraft with the nozzle in the fuel filler port.
- Press ENT on keypad to verify it has been grounded
- Click the credit card reader to "read" your credit card (RP Only)
- Select 1) for 100LL or 2) for Jet-A Fuel
- Enter the maximum number of gallons on the keypad, then press ENT
- Reset the meter on the on the 100LL (or Jet-A) side by clicking the knob on the side
- Turn the switch on the pump on the 100LL (or Jet-A) side by clicking on it to put it in the ON position.
- Wait for fueling to complete. Fueling will stop when requested number of gallons have been added, the tank is full, or you turn the fuel switch to OFF.
- Press either 1 to fuel another tank, or 2 to end fueling.
